These Terms and Conditions of Sale are offered by SAS LASTCOBBLE, with share capital of €1,200, registered with the Lille Trade and Companies Register under number 995 221 389 000 19, with its registered office at 46 Avenue de GAULLE 59840 Lompret. Contact: contact@lastcobble.com
2. Purpose and scope
These general terms define the rights and obligations of LASTCOBBLE and the customer in connection with the sale of small-group, supervised and guided cycling trips, which may include, in particular, accommodation, supervision, routes, certain meals, luggage transport, possible bike or equipment rental, as well as any service indicated in the trip description.
Booking a trip implies full and unconditional acceptance of these general terms, supplemented where applicable by the specific terms shown on the LASTCOBBLE website, the quote, the booking confirmation, or any contractual document provided to the customer.
3. Trip description
Each trip is presented on the website with its main features: destination, dates, duration, fitness level, indicative distance and elevation gain, group size, type of accommodation, included and excluded services, price, practical details, participation conditions and expected level of autonomy, with as much detail as possible without being exhaustive.
Routes, schedules, distances, elevation gain, accommodation and activities may be adjusted depending on weather, safety, traffic, supplier availability or the group’s level, without calling into question the overall spirit of the trip.
4. Registration and booking
The booking becomes firm once these general terms have been accepted and the deposit or full price requested at registration has been paid. LASTCOBBLE confirms the booking by email, subject to availability and, where applicable, reaching the minimum number of participants, ideally 5 people for the Legend and Integral trips. À la carte trips do not have a minimum number of participants.
The customer undertakes to provide accurate information regarding their identity, contact details, fitness level, specific needs and any information useful for the proper organisation of the trip.
5. Price and payment
Prices are indicated in euros, all taxes included, unless otherwise stated. They include only the services expressly indicated as included in the trip description. Personal expenses, insurance, drinks, meals not mentioned, transfers to the departure point, options and services not provided for remain the customer’s responsibility.
Unless otherwise stated, a deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than 1 month before departure. If payment is not made within the deadlines, LATSCOBBLE may consider the booking cancelled by the customer, in accordance with the applicable cancellation fees.
6. Fitness level, health and safety
Cycling trips require a fitness level appropriate to the level announced. The customer acknowledges that they are fit to ride on road, track or mixed routes depending on the chosen programme, and undertakes to report before departure any medical issue, physical limitation or specific need likely to affect their participation. A fitness level enabling you to ride at a moderate pace, with breaks, for 4 to 5 hours is required.
Wearing a helmet is mandatory during cycling outings. The customer undertakes to comply with the Highway Code, the guide’s safety instructions, local traffic rules and the decisions taken by the supervisor for the safety of the group. In the event of inappropriate behaviour both on and off the bike, LASTCOBBLE reserves the right to exclude participants responsible for disrupting the smooth running of the trip.
7. Equipment and gear
The customer may take part with their own bike, provided it is in good working order and suitable for the trip. When bike or equipment rental is offered, the specific rental, deposit, use, loss, theft or damage conditions are specified by LASTCOBBLE management. Renting a latest-generation carbon bike is €100 per day, including deposit and insurance.
The customer remains responsible for their personal equipment, personal belongings and, where applicable, rented or provided equipment throughout the duration of the trip.
8. Change or cancellation by the customer
Any request for a change or cancellation must be sent to LASTCOBBLE by any written means. The date the request is received determines any applicable fees.
As an indication, unless more favourable or stricter specific conditions are specified for the trip concerned, cancellation fees are as follows:
1/ More than 3 months before departure: 0% (full refund);
2/ Between 3 months and 1 month before departure: 50% partial refund;
3/ Less than 1 month before departure and/or no-show at departure: 100% of the trip price (no refund).
9. Change or cancellation by LASTCOBBLE
LASTCOBBLE may have to modify certain elements of the trip before or during its execution, in particular for reasons of safety, weather, supplier availability, road conditions, or exceptional circumstances beyond its normal operations. In this case, it will offer, as far as possible, an equivalent alternative solution.
When the trip is subject to a minimum number of participants, LASTCOBBLE informs the customer of any cancellation within the timeframe indicated in the trip description and, at the latest, within the deadlines provided by the applicable regulations. The customer will then first be offered a postponement, a replacement trip or a refund of the sums paid within 1 month.
10. Insurance
The customer is strongly advised to take out insurance covering, in particular, cancellation, trip interruption, assistance, repatriation, medical expenses, accidents related to cycling, as well as loss, theft or damage to luggage and equipment.
11. Liability
LASTCOBBLE is responsible for the proper performance of the services provided for in the contract, in accordance with the provisions applicable to package travel and holidays. However, it cannot be held liable for consequences resulting from the customer’s fault, the unforeseeable and unavoidable act of a third party unrelated to the provision of the services, or exceptional and unavoidable circumstances.
The customer remains responsible for their behaviour, compliance with safety instructions, their cycling conduct and the suitability of their level for the chosen trip. LASTCOBBLE may refuse or stop the participation of a customer whose behaviour would endanger their safety, that of the group or the smooth running of the trip.
12. Administrative and health formalities
The customer is responsible for completing the administrative, customs, health or medical formalities necessary for their trip. The information provided by LASTCOBBLE is for guidance only and must be checked by the customer before departure.
13. Complaints
Any difficulty encountered during the trip must be reported as soon as possible to the guide or to LASTCOBBLE management in order to allow a solution to be found. Any complaint after the trip must be sent in writing to LASTCOBBLE within a maximum of 30 days, accompanied by supporting documents useful for it to be considered admissible.
14. Personal data
Personal data collected at the time of booking is used to manage enquiries, bookings, payment, trip organisation, customer follow-up and, where applicable, to send marketing information if the customer has consented. The customer has rights of access, rectification, objection, erasure, restriction and portability under the conditions provided by the applicable regulations.
15. Applicable law, mediation and disputes
These general terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the customer is invited to contact LASTCOBBLE as a priority in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, the consumer customer may have free recourse to a consumer mediator.
Participant Charter for LASTCOBBLE trips
By paying for your trip, you accept the following conditions:
- I have chosen to register knowing my technical abilities, my fitness level and my state of health, which will allow me to fully enjoy the proposed trip. (4 to 5 hours of cycling at a moderate pace, with breaks)
- I have no physical problem or disability that could pose a danger to me or to other travellers.
- I have a valid passport and all required visas, permits, certificates and vaccines to travel. It is my responsibility to ensure this. LASTCOBBLE cannot be held responsible if my documents are not valid.
- I approve all pre-trip documents regarding medical requirements and respect for local culture.
- I will make sure to communicate any special request at least 30 days before the trip, in particular in the case of dietary restrictions and room preferences. I understand that LAST COBBLE will do its best to accommodate special requests, but cannot guarantee they will be met.
- I will respect and comply with local laws and customs.
- I will follow environmental guidelines and regulations during the trip, in accordance with the guides’ instructions.
- I will respect the rights and privacy of other guests.
- I understand that group travel invariably involves compromises to take into account each person’s varied wishes, goals, personalities and physical abilities. LAST COBBLE guides may need to improvise, act in good faith, use judgement and/or make consensus decisions. These decisions do not always satisfy every individual, but aim to meet the group’s overall aspirations.
- I understand that LAST COBBLE reserves the right to exclude any person whose health or behaviour could harm the well-being or enjoyment of other participants. A person may be asked to leave the trip if the leader believes their participation could be detrimental to themselves or to the group.
- I understand that the weather is beyond LASTCOBBLE’s control.
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory on LAST COBBLE trips.
- Cycling with earphones is prohibited on LAST COBBLE trips.
- I will consume alcohol responsibly.
- I will be responsible for any damage caused to a hotel room.
- I will not use my mobile phone while cycling.
If you do not comply with these rules, you may be excluded from the tour and sent home at your own expense, with no refund for the missed portion. LAST COBBLE reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if a person’s health condition or behaviour compromises the well-being or enjoyment of other participants.
