The stages of your cycling week

Your cycling adventure begins in Lille with a welcome at our base camp by our team. The week’s briefing is shared with everyone.

Bike testing, a weather briefing, route descriptions, and an explanation of non-cycling activities. Your exciting weekly travel itinerary will be explained. Let us guide you; we’ve taken care of everything.

From the Cobblestones of the North to the Legends of Flanders

Here, there is no border between Belgium and France. As planned, we will lead you on the roads of the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and Ghent-Wevelgem, monuments of professional cycling where the world’s best riders compete. Amidst cobblestones and bergs, you’ll experience the very essence of the Flemish classics, following in the footsteps of Merckx, Cancellara, Sagan, or Van der Poel. We will help you conquer these roads down to the last cobblestone. Each stage is designed to immerse you in this unique world of monument road cycling, all while respecting your pace as an amateur cyclist.

Required level: from amateur cyclists to seasoned sportive riders, all passionate about the legend of the cobbles.

This cycling trip is for amateur cyclists capable of riding 80-100km at a relaxed pace with a refreshment break. We are sure you will find your place in our peloton. The legendary roads of the Flemish monuments are rather “flat”. Of course, you’ll encounter some legendary “bumps” but it’s not the same effort as climbing a pass in the Alps or Pyrenees. The average speed will vary according to group levels (Generally 22 to 25 km/h).

The spirit is still about enjoyable group cycling. Obviously, there will be sections where you can push harder on the pedals and chase a STRAVA KOM, but there will always be a regrouping to finish together safely.

Accommodation and catering worthy of UCI professional teams

4–5-star accommodation minimum, so you can enjoy the base camp to the standards of the best WorldTour teams. Breakfast tailored to riders’ needs with a full energy buffet. Dinners prepared according to pro-cycling nutrition principles, with special attention the day before riding. Some meals will be offered in town to discover local gastronomic specialties!

On-route fueling identical to stage races, with bottles, bars, energy gels, and an espresso machine! Secure bike storage with a mechanical workshop available. Real cycling-team vibes guaranteed! Every evening, a 30-minute briefing/debriefing will be offered to best prepare for the next day: weather, route times, key cobbled sectors, safety, and race history.

From Lille to the Monuments of Cycling

Our base camp in Lille is a gateway to all the iconic cycling locations of Northern France and Belgium:

Roubaix and its mythical velodrome, where Paris-Roubaix has finished since 1943.

French Flanders, with its legendary climbs and cobbled sectors from numerous French championships.

In Belgium, Oudenaarde is home to the Tour of Flanders museum, a monument of professional cycling.

In the Heart of the Sacred Lands of World Cycling

Roeselare offers a museum dedicated to all the Flandriennes: the KOERS museum. The Ypres region symbolizes the memory of the First World War, a key location for the Ghent-Wevelgem race and the Flanders Fields.

Bruges and Ghent, finish cities for many classics, enrich the cultural experience. This unique geography concentrates history and forges the legend of cycling. We are a region that hosts 2 of the 5 Monuments of world cycling. (Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, and Il Lombardia.)

Professional Cycling Equipment Adapted for Cobblestones

The cobblestones do not require a specifically prepared road bike. The only comfort solution lies in changing to 30mm tires. There is also the simple trick of double-wrapping handlebar tape for more hand comfort. The cobblestones of the Hell of the North and the Ronde require wearing gloves and a thorough mechanical check of the bike.

Equipment and Preparation: Riding the Cobblestones with Confidence

Last Cobble gives you the option to rent a bike equipped like those in the pro peloton—bring your cycling shoes and we’ll fit the bikes with the right pedal brand. Cyclo-cross or gravel models also work well for these legendary routes. Essential safety gear is: helmet, bib shorts, and gloves, just like pro riders. Our technical team checks every bike and adjusts tire pressure to match the conditions.

Well done, David!

I am very honored to participate in the beginning of this adventure on our Flanders roads!

We have been friends for so long thanks to cycling training in Flanders, on gran fondos, or on Lille-Hardelot, of course!

It's an idea that fills a void! That's for sure.
To introduce our cycling-loving friends from all over the world to our heritage as a land of cycling, but also our traditions of friendship and sharing… Memories and emotions.

The friendly atmosphere and premium welcome reflect your image, the signature of LastCobble.
Everyone wishes you and your future guests great moments, as the North and Belgium know how to provide.

I have known David, the creator of LASTCOBBLE, for over 15 years; we have shared the same friendly pelotons on our Flemish roads, and it's a source of pride.

It's a great idea to ride with company on legendary ground.

The cobblestones of Flanders have witnessed the greatest riders; now it's your turn to write your adventure with LASTCOBBLE.

You'll get to enjoy and savor every vibration, and most importantly... have fun. A wonderful discovery awaits you on legendary roads!

With David as your guide, you'll also discover local cuisine, Flanders in all its aspects, historical sites, the local atmosphere, and a top-notch organization that will thrill you... An absolute must-do experience!

LASTCOBBLE embodies the passion for cycling, seriousness in organization, the spirit of the Flemish Classics, remembrance tourism, the concept of an « all-inclusive cycling trip » well-guided by experienced guides, with emotion and sharing on top of everything.

It's the highly specialized company that allows everyone to live a unique, sporting, and human experience, at the heart of cycling monuments and the history of the Flemish Classics.

I wanted to give a testimonial for LASTCOBBLE because it reignites my pride and passion when I talk about my training routes.

David, the creator of LASTCOBBLE, is a person deeply passionate about cycling and who wishes for only one thing: to transmit his love for his region, its routes, and the tradition of Flanders. Premium hospitality is part of his DNA, and all moments on and off the bike will be unforgettable memories.

I followed the birth of this project very closely; we discussed it at length during our countless bike rides and, above all, made an observation: why doesn't this niche, this experience, exist yet? It's an anomaly now corrected with LASTCOBBLE!

This agency is much more than a simple invitation to cycle: it's an authentic immersion into the heart of Northern France and Belgium, driven by a true cycling culture. From mythical cobbled roads, steeped in history and emotions, to the landscapes and soul of Flanders, each route is designed with rigor, passion, and respect for the territory.

Knowing the attention to detail of David, the Founder of LASTCOBBLE, his love for performance cycling, and his ability to share, I know that each proposed experience will be sporting, human, and memorable. It's an ambitious, sincere project deeply rooted in the cycling identity of Flanders, combining cobbles, conviviality, and excellence.

I recommend this adventure to all who want to discover cycling differently, where it is true, demanding, and legendary.

Finally, an offer that lives up to the legendary cobbled climbs of Flanders!

This region lives and breathes cycling, but there was no structure capable of delivering the full experience of the legendary Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders routes.

Riding these roads, understanding each climb, each cobbled sector, their history, and their demands, completely changes how you approach them.

It's not just cycling; it's an immersion into the raw and authentic Flemish culture. A concept designed by and for enthusiasts, finally giving full meaning to these legendary routes.

A passionate cyclist, I have lived in Texas for 11 years. I grew up in Northern France, and the routes offered by LastCobble are part of my history.

The cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix or the Tour of Flanders, the narrow winding roads between fields and villages, the sun and the sometimes fickle wind... all of this is deeply rooted in me and offers a unique cycling experience that is a must-do!

Living this experience with LastCobble, in VIP conditions, is much more than just a sports trip: it's pure pleasure, pushing your limits, and it's a real adrenaline rush to feel like a pro for a day!

Every cobblestone sector tells a story, every road evokes memories.

The LastCobble organization allows you to focus solely on the joy of riding, without any constraints—it's incredible.

An authentic, demanding, and deeply human experience that I absolutely recommend.

The Armoured Campaign in Normandy

Churchill – Military Genius or Menace

Cycling in Flanders and France with the incomparable David at LastCobble “A la carte” trip.

After the streets full of murderous Volvos and Mercedes drivers of suburban Sydney, we were so looking forward to the tree-lined open D roads of Flanders!

Seamless airport transfers and hotels organized by Lastcobble made everything so easy.

Starting in the beautiful medieval Ghent, we followed the course of our lycra-clad heroes to Wevelgem at a much more gentle pace, taking the time to take in the scenery and delightful hotels and bistros en route.

In fact, we took 3 days, but who cares? A few little hills to test the fittest of us, and did I mention the cobblestones?

Weird vibrations tested our nether regions, but they and the bikes provided by Last Cobble stood up to the excessive stimulation...

A day in Wevelgem allowed our private parts to recuperate while we took in the somber battlefield memorials of the insane conflict that was the First World War. So many young men wasted…

Then on to the big one, the final push. More bloody cobblestones and hills… oh my nuts! More glorious scenery, pretty villages, and only the occasional maniacal farm tractor blocking the road.

Tired, sore, but supremely happy, we made it to Oudenaarde in one piece (City of RONDE VAN VLAANDEREN)

A delightful hotel and sumptuous dinner to celebrate the end of the trip. We had hoped to lose a few kilos, but the temptations from Last Cobble could not be resisted.

A few days in Paris to recuperate and add more kilos, but what the hell, we are on holiday!

Last Cobble offers a unique experience: cycling, touring, and tasting.

We cherish our memories (and photos) and recommend it to all cycling enthusiasts Down Under.

Spread your wings and experience the best of Belgium and Lastcobble.
